Koru Art

This is my koru art but it is currently incomplete. The reason why we are making this is because the focus of this term is identity. It also gives a chance for everyone to share what their cultures are about.

Kowhai Ngutukākā Pattern

Hello everyone! Sorry for not blog posting a lot but yesterday we did kowhaiwhai patterns and the one i did was Kowhai Ngutukākā. The red represents warmth, blood and life. White means purity, promise for future awakening. Also, black means the earth. There are some other patterns such as Koriri, Rauru, Koru.

Tongan Language Week

This week Thursday, Miss V is telling us about the history & treasure about Tonga. They have a inu/kava bowl which serves the king and a ipu/kava cup to give it. Kiekie is something that female wear when they have church or on special occasions. Kahoa is how to say necklace, all of the types of necklaces.
